    Stenfert wins Grand Prize Zeltweg

Dutch rider Jurgen Stenfert sunday won the grand prize in sunny Zeltweg in Austria.

Stenfert competed with his 10 year old mare BMC Voirrellinde JJ (Oramé x Holland). With a total number of 55 contestants, only nine combinations managed to qualify for the finals. Stenfert rode seventh in line and performed a flawless and fast round, winning him first place. Swiss rider Niklaus Schurtenberger came in second place and his fellow countrymen Werner Muff and Beat Mändli both had to settle for penalty points.

“My horses compete at an international level and that is why I supplement their diet with palaMOUNTAINS products. They are performing well and look fantastic. By nature I’m a sceptical man and I doubted if Palmountains was able to make good on its promises. There are so many products on the market and they all claim to be the best, I can safely say that palaMOUNTAINS sells legitimate products which have proven their value to me in more ways than one. An added bonus is the all-in-one formula which is very practical when you run a large stable like mine. I highly recommend these products to any equestrian who takes his sport and horses seriously and is looking for no-nonsense quality supplements”

    Yearling Sales

"The yearling appearance was outstanding, finishing up the preparation for the sale."

Waikato Stud operates on two farms totalling 1000 acres, in which we operate with five stallions and approximately 600 mares. In addition we also prepare 80 yearlings for the National Karaka Sales and William Inglis Easter sales. After using Equine ShowOff for only one season I found that it was an easy management, result producing, cost effective product, enabling the feeding ration to be simple with no bulk supplement required to be added.

The yearling appearance was outstanding, finishing up the preparation for the sale. The yearlings look good from the inside out, with no requirement to use any extra products on their coats.

"Their coats were terrific and we had no problems with feeding or rehydration during the period we had them away from home"

"This year I put the yearlings on ShowOff for their entire preparation (11 weeks) prior to the Standardbred sales. I found the yearlings did not require as much food as in previous years, they utilised what they were eating to a point where 5 of the colts had to have their weight watched. The yearlings were big in condition without any leg problems, and they held their condition during travel (8 hours) to the sales and during the confinement of the boxes over the four days. Their coats were terrific and we had no problems with feeding or rehydration during the period we had them away from home.

I felt this year the whole draft looked much improved, they sold well above expectations with the average being $38,600 over 10 lots, for a Standardbred sale this is extremely pleasing. I will be using the product again this year."

    Skin & Coat

"The best part was that it didn’t only help his coat but also his mud fever and his hooves."

“My Quarter Horse ‘Trigg’ suffers from a scurfy type skin disorder when moulting from his winter to summer coat. After having vets look at him we tried different washes thinking it was something bacterial and we would be able to kill it, unfortunately this proved unsuccessful. Out of sheer desperation (& maybe a little bit of madness) while washing him one day we covered him in Vitamin E rich moisturiser. Believe it or not but the skin flaking started to clear up, the only problem was the thought of rubbing moisturiser into my horse every spring. I again approached my vet with this new piece of information. We decided we would try attacking the problem from the inside before next spring. The vet recommended that we try a supplement feed called ‘Show Off’. With the fat and oil contents it should work through to his skin. The next year, a month before he was due to start moulting, I started to add Show Off to his hard feed. This was after making sure it would not heat him up and guess what... SUCCESS ...no moisturiser needed and so much easier. The best part was that it didn’t only help his coat but also his mud fever and his hooves. I now always make sure there is a bottle of Show Off in the feed shed. From me this product gets the big thumbs up. If you have any of these problems with your horse I would recommend giving it a try.”

"We found some fantastic results, his coat looked absolutely brilliant."

“palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff has proven to be an essential part of our preparation for the annual yearling sales and growing 2 years olds in training. The horses coats develop a deep luster, they hold their condition and seem to cope very well with the pressure at the sales. They require less grooming and we received comments saying our draft looked the best yet. palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff has also helped us with pregnant and lactating broodmares and stallion performance during a demanding season of 100 mares or more.”

"Due to intense training schedules and continuous stabling, horses on American racetracks are prone to dry, brittle feet. I have noticed better growth and overall hoof quality of those horses I have seen on palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff. Their feet appear to retain more of the natural oils and aren't so dependent on manufactured hoof oils."

    Dressage / Showjumping

    Mandy Littlejohn

"The demands of vigorous daily training sessions and long competition weekends require optimum health for my advanced dressage horses. After working in the health profession, I feel this product provides my horses with the essential vitamins and nutrients they require. I have also noticed a big change in my horses skin condition. No longer is he suffering from dermatitis, lumps or bumps, but he is now healthy with a shiny skin that is greatly improved, even in the winter. The best quality about palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff is knowing this glossy, glowing exterior is coming from a healthy, well nourished interior."

    Carriage Riding

    Vivian Christie

"Since the introduction of palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff to Essie's diet I have noticed a difference in her condition and stamina. Recently competing in a carriage driving marathon for the first time, Essie gained second place overall and won the fastest time in the hazards which was quite thrilling. palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff has definitely enhanced Essie's performance. Other competitors took the time to comment on how good her condition was looking.

Essie used to buck and pig-jump, but she's now so calm and more relaxed. I highly recommend palaMOUNTAINS Equine ShowOff, especially for a darker glossier coat, performance and general condition."

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Why feed supplements?

For a horse to perform to its ability, it needs a specialised diet that is balanced and is adequate in quantity and quality to maintain the horse in top form. Along with a balanced diet, a good dietary supplement is required in order for the horse to avoid disease and ensure good health. Although a good balanced diet will provide a solid foundation, food alone cannot supply all of the nutrients necessary to fulfill their unique requirements. All horses have different nutritional requirements and factors such as age, activity level, environment and genetics which will greatly affect the absorption of nutrients from foods. It is therefore important to provide the horse with extra nutrients which will assist the body to successfully work, grow and perform to a high level.

    Liquid supplements vs powder supplements?

Solid vitamins are manufactured in pill or powder form and have been proven to deliver only 10-20% absorption rates while liquid supplements have up to 98% absorption rates so therefore offer more nutritional efficiency and value for money. Acknowledging the improved efficiency of liquid vitamins over solids it is also important that liquids also offer less waste and provide a far superior alternative.
